This stone is a beautiful aqua blue color, with the added bonus of rutile “shards” throughout. The stone is a doublet of natural Rutilated Quartz and natural Apatite stone. It is wrapped in gold filled wire, with a Czech crystal accent bead. This pendant comes with an 18” wax cord necklace, extendable to 20”.
Apatite is a calcium phosphate mineral found in a variety of colors such as yellow, blue, green, gray, and brown. It was first discovered in 1786. The largest Apatite deposit is in Kirovsk, Russia but can also be found in Brazil, Burma, Madagascar, and Mexico.
Also known as “Angel’s Hair Quartz”, Rutilated Quartz is a variety of Quartz that contains naturally occurring needle-like strands or threads of Rutile within the stone. This type of quartz is found in a large number of locations throughout the world, although most of the Rutilated Quartz comes from Madagascar or Brazil.

Please follow these suggestions for care of your handmade jewelry:
Don’t wear your jewelry while sleeping, swimming, exercising, or handle it roughly
Don’t expose your jewelry to extreme hot/cold temperatures, or prolonged direct sun exposure
Don’t clean your jewelry with any chemicals or jewelry cleaning machines. A simple cleaning with soap and lukewarm water and soft cloth is all that should be required.
It is natural for pure copper jewelry to get darker/oxidize over time. We will provide you with a small cleaning cloth with your purchase to help keep it shiny and clean, but we do recommend that you store your copper jewelry in a sealed plastic bag to help slow the oxidation process.
