This Brecciated Jasper stone has such classic neutral colors and a unique shape. This pendant also comes with an 18” wax cord necklace that extends to 20”.
Jasper is a member of the quartz family, and Brecciated Jasper is jasper that has been broken up internally and cemented together with chalcedony. The most common form is red or yellow jasper cemented with grey chalcedony, but there are many other color variations. The brecciation often leaves angular lines of jasper cut across the stone. Brecciated jasper contains hematite, an iron compound, which gives it both its red tones and the dark bands. It is primarily deep red--veined or patterned with brown, black and beige--and sometimes has clear crystal inclusions.

Jasper was popular in the ancient world for its medicinal and spiritual values, and has been used for centuries by cultures around the world for its unique properties. Legend has it that jasper would drive away evil spirits and protect against snake and spider bites. In the fourth century, jasper was called "the great rain bringer."
Brecciated jasper is also thought to provide mental clarity and focus to its wearer. The uplifting stone may help to increase organization and decrease stress. Jaspers in general have been viewed as symbolizing the variety that is the Earth, and all the balance and grounding that implies.

Please follow these suggestions for care of your handmade jewelry:
Don’t wear your jewelry while sleeping, swimming, exercising, or handle it roughly
Don’t expose your jewelry to extreme hot/cold temperatures, or prolonged direct sun exposure
Don’t clean your jewelry with any chemicals or jewelry cleaning machines. A simple cleaning with soap and lukewarm water and soft cloth is all that should be required.
It is natural for pure copper jewelry to get darker/oxidize over time. We will provide you with a small cleaning cloth with your purchase to help keep it shiny and clean, but we do recommend that you store your copper jewelry in a sealed plastic bag to help slow the oxidation process.

It is difficult to photograph certain stones and there can be slight variations in color due to lighting.
We do not accept returns for product size and color, so please ask any questions before purchasing so we can make sure our product meets your expectations.
If your item is damaged or broken during shipping, please contact us right away so we can work together to resolve (merchandise credit or replacement).
Merchandise credit will be issued for returns within 60 day of purchase. Return shipping will be paid by the purchaser.
