This Red Jasper square stone is a beautiful mixture of cherry red and cream coloring, with a large decorative copper bale. This pendant comes with an 18” wax cord necklace, extendable to 20”. It would look fantastic with an antiqued copper necklace, also available in the shop.
Red Jasper is a variety of Jasper. It is a microcrystalline silicate and member of the quartz family. The red color is due from tiny Iron impurities and can range in a variety of different shades and hues.This mineral has been traced all the way back to Egyptian times where it had uses in jewelry, makeup, and sacred trinkets. Important deposits of Red Jasper can be found all throughout the world with major veins running throughout Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, and Germany.
Metaphysical Properties:
Red Jasper has been treasured for thousands of years due to its deep red color and smooth texture. In ancient Egypt, it was associated with the goddess Isis and believed to bring strength and protection.
During the Middle Ages, red jasper was valued for its decorative and spiritual purposes. It was used in religious artifacts, protecting against evil spirits and boosting courage. Medieval alchemists considered it transformative and linked it to fire.
Symbolically, Red Jasper is often associated with endurance, strength, and protection. It is considered a grounding stone, promoting stability and balance in life. It is a stone that encourages passion and focuses on the physical and emotional needs of the individual.

Please follow these suggestions for care of your handmade jewelry:
Don’t wear your jewelry while sleeping, swimming, exercising, or handle it roughly
Don’t expose your jewelry to extreme hot/cold temperatures, or prolonged direct sun exposure
Don’t clean your jewelry with any chemicals or jewelry cleaning machines. A simple cleaning with soap and lukewarm water and soft cloth is all that should be required.
It is natural for pure copper jewelry to get darker/oxidize over time. We will provide you with a small cleaning cloth with your purchase to help keep it shiny and clean, but we do recommend that you store your copper jewelry in a sealed plastic bag to help slow the oxidation process.

We want you to love your purchase, so please review our product and sizing information prior to purchase. We do our best to accurately describe our items and take photographs that are a good representation of the product. It is difficult to photograph certain stones and there can be slight variations in color due to lighting.
We do not accept returns for product size and color, so please ask any questions before purchasing so we can make sure our product meets your expectations.
If your item is damaged or broken during shipping, please contact us right away so we can work together to resolve (merchandise credit or replacement).
Merchandise credit will be issued for returns within 60 day of purchase. Return shipping will be paid by the purchaser.
